30 Game of Thrones icons

Sorry I'm spamming you with icons again! I should have probably put the Hermione ones in the same post as these, but nah, was too eager to get those posted. So, two sets in less than a week. I hope you don't mind :p These are for the 9th round of

inspired20in20. My claim was Game of Thrones, but I've only seen the first season so these are all s1, sorry :p

I just loooove how gorgeously hq the caps are, so I really took this opportunity to try more close crops, and yeah, I'm LOVING it!

The theme of the round was resources, which fits me perfectly cause if there's anyone who loves textures, that would be me ;)

Words cannot express how absolutely stunning this batch is. I don't know what you're doing but, whatever it is, keep doing it because, babe, the progress you make from post to post is unreal!

I can see that you had fun working with HQ caps because your compositon with this batch is out of this world and, while I always love how you use textures, I find that aspect has been so very skillfully done with this post. #6-9 and #11 are especially outstanding.

To be honest, I was about to close down PS for the day and go catch up on Supernatural (I've just started season 5) but I'm so inspired by this batch of yours that I'm going to keep working on my

big20in20 claim!

Goodness, they are all so *intense*!!
I'm snurching the Arya one at nr. 20 because it's perfect. but they are all outstanding.

Just to mention a few others, nr. 3 is nothing short of powerful and the one with the double images of Joffrey and Sansa - either in b/w at 18 or in color at 27 - is brilliant.

All your takes on Sansa are quite beautiful, and that's from someone who's quite leery of book-Sansa, although tv-Sansa is a little better, character wise... :-)

In all of them, the play of color and texture enhances your choice of image in a way I can't convey in words. I'm sorry I can't go technical on the comments, but let me tell you that the emotional impact of these icons is quite strong.

Wow.

Aaw, thank you so much Nym!! It doesn't matter one bit if you can't be technical about the icons, if they have emotional impact on someone I'd say that's a great deal better than just having a good technique and I'm awfully flattered that you think so.

Also I almost left that Arya out of the main set. It was the first one I made and afterwards I wasn't sure about the texture use. So I'm really glad and surprised it ended up being your favorite! ♥

Tommi, your close crops ar extraordinary!!!!!! I'm drooling over 13 and 21, my friend. 21 has the most buttery, golden coloring that enhances the already sensual crop, and 13 strikes a lovely balance between the dark purple and the bright contrast in her cheek. I also enjoy 10 with all the empty space to her left and the icy blue tones. 9 has wonderfully subtle texturing, and again, the crops are fantastic! The blending in 18 and 27 is seamless and clean. YOU DID A BRILLIANT JOB, DUDE! <3333333

these are so amazing, you did such a fabulous job with them all, so pretty! It is difficult to choose favorites because they are all so goo, but I love 9 and 10, 13, and your blending in icons like 18 is amazing! I also really like 24 and 28.

Those Dany close-ups are absolutely gorgeous! I love how you've managed to keep soft without making them blurry, it's wonderful.

Aw, thank you! Dany has a gorgeous face so she's perfect for closeups! :D Also a big thanks for the non-blurry thing, I always struggle with finding the right amount of sharpening so that's a big compliment for me!

How I can pick the favorite? :D They all are so amazing!<3 But I think that if I have to I said that 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 :D

I take 7, 13, 16, and 18. Will credit! :)

And of course I love all alts! 23, 27, 29 and 30 are my favorite!

Love the colours and the muted tones of your work. It's aesthetically pleasing to the eye. :)

12 - I love the texture use!
14 - I love the composition and the colours.
16 - The colours. *_*
18 - The blending is SO flawless. :')
23 - Colour and crop. <3
24 - Texture use is fantastic. I even love the subtle greens.
