Icons for inspired20in20 and scifi20in20

Okay, so here are my sets for the 8th round of

inspired20in20 and 25th round of

scifi20in20. Can't say I'm terribly happy with either of these, I've been a bit low on inspiration lately (mostly because of school stress, argh!), but I do like some of these enough to post the sets. Do comment if you like anything you see, you just might make my day :D And still comment even if you hate them all, concrit is always welcome (some of these I don't even know how to improve, yet I really would like to!).

For inspired20in20, my claim was The Big Bang Theory and our main theme was Warm & Cool. Idek how this contains so little of the actual main foursome. What I do know is that most of these don't even look like they were inspired by whatever they were, I just started inspired by the thing I list here and then my muse stubbornly took me to another direction :P

I how hard it is to work with screencaps of the earlier Buffy seasons. You did an excellent job with them!

Thank you!! Yeah, I've heard it gets easier with the caps, but I've only seen the first two seasons so... yeah :D Can't wait to icon the rest!

I just have ti say that there's lenty of creativity in those Big Bang Theory icons! I love the composition of that second piece with the multiple images placed diagonally and the purple circle behind the middle image. It's very bold and fresh, IMO! Wonderful work with the balance of pink and purple in 3 and with the painted texturing in 4. The text and vibrant orange in 6 truly catch my eye, and I'm absolutely digging the purple neg space in both 13 and 14. Adore the crop and blue coloring in 15. It's quite a dramatic icon, and if I didn't know the show, I wouldn't realize it was from a sitcom! The Buffy nostalgia icon is fantastic (love the texture and have used it a million times). The text is absolutely perfect and so is your choice to go B/W with the color palette. PAT YOURSELF ON THE BACK FOR DOING SUCH A BRILLIANT JOB THIS MONTH! :)

Lol, at first I was like 'whyyy did I choose a sitcom, half the caps have silly expressions and you can't make anything dramatic or serious with the show' but then I decided to try anyway :D Thanks again, all that was really awesome to hear ^^

I love the lighting throughout this post! Both sets are so bright and shiny :) The compositions of #2 and 8 of the Big Bang icons and #6 of the Buffy set are gorgeous and really creative. Everything about #16 of the Big Bang icons is stunning, the crop is out of the world, I adore the monochromatic colouring and the lighting is truly, truly inspired :)

The simplicity of hands is stunning. I love, love, love the neutral colouring and everything about it, from the crop to the sharpening is really well executed.

Really, really great post!!

And wow, special thanks for all the love for Hands, it was the first one I made and felt so 'meh' about it, I was like 'if this is how this is going to start, I don't even know if the rest are worth making'. But it's really cool that you liked the subtle colors - they were so so weird for me to make, considering how overly vibrant my icons usually are - but I really tried to incorporate the concrit I've received at

20inspirations for at least some of these and one of their major points was to make them less saturated, so if it works for someone I'm SUPER HAPPY! ^^

(Also yes, you're partly to blame for me trying to get in :D Looks like it's not happening quite yet, but I love all the concrit I've got so thanks for encouraging me!)

I absolutely LOVE these! The colouring on most of them is vibrant and eye catching, but you still have some really pretty, simple ones, too. I think my favourites for Buffy are Hands, Eyes Closed, Category 1, 2, and 5, and AC 1 and 2. Great job!

Wow, thanks for the awesome comment! I've been trying to practice simplicity, it's not my usual style so I always feel like there's something missing, so it makes me super happy to hear people actually like them :D Maybe I'll try to make more of them for the next sets!

Amazing set! I love both set so much!

inspired20in20 set is amazing! So beautiful colors and crop using. And I really love your light efect! It's so hard to pick favorite but I think that 2, 5, 8, 9 13, 14, 18, 19 but really, I love them all!! :)

And scifi20in20 set is also so awesome!! My favorite are Group (so great colors and I love texture and text), eyes closed (love the light effect and colors), pale background (crop, colors and txture are amazing), shiny (I love how you did shiny theme!) and pride (love the colors and text/font and the background is amazing!)

Gategory set is very beautiful but also heart broking. I remember that scene :D One and three are my favorite. AC set is so good, too! Great black&white icons! Three, four and five are my favorite but of course I also love one and two!

Fine, I love them all! :D Graet job!!

While I'm not really familiar with BBT, those icons all look great. I really like the look of 4, 11, 14 and 18.
I chose a comedy for my first inspired20in20 and I don't know why, because it did end up being a little more difficult than I expected!

Buffy &hearts ! I love that you're making icons of this show already and you've only seen two seasons. By the time you get further into the series you won't want to icon anything else! Group is completely gorgeous in every way. I also really love ascend, Cat3, 4, Ac3, 4, 5.
