Photobucket SUCKS
This is old news to everyone else but I haven't been around so I was blissfully ignorant of this MAJOR DISASTER WTF. Photobucket already sucked big time, I stopped using it in 2015 because of all the SLOWLY loading ad-filled pages you had to view instead of just showing the icon directly like you can do with basically all decent image hosts. But that still leaves all my 2012-2015 icons at PB, in danger of disappearing soon.
Now I've spent a few days reuploading my icons and replacing old links. The good thing is I can still see all my old icons so either they're still showing for some users, idk why, or maybe these images are coming from some sort of cache or are only visible to the uploader. This makes it easier to see what goes where, but fuck this, seriously. My wrist hates all this extra clicking around, I had soooo many icons at PB :| but much worse than having to reupload everything is the fact that I can no longer see a lot of the old icon posts I always admired from iconers who are long gone and probably won't reupload.
There's one silver lining here and it's that this gives me a reason to revisit all my previous icons and see that I have indeed made some progress even though it often feels like I'm completely stagnant. I'm now done reuploading my 2012 icons, next moving onto 2013 (which I kinda dread cause that was my major breakout year so maybe they'll be better than my current posts, which would suck, or maybe I just remember them being better than they actually were, which would also be a bit disappointing :p). But year 2012 definitely reminded me that I've (HOPEFULLY) made a lot of progress.

I know I have a lot of iconers and other graphics makers on my flist so what are your plans, if you used PB? Are you just leaving the links broken or are you reuploading? I think I'll only reupload icons. Unfortunately I'm probably gonna sacrifice my old tutorial step illustrations because those tuts are old, nobody is going to read them anymore.

There are icons I don't even have anymore because they were on my old computer, so Idk what to do about those :( But it's not like they were great, I switched to imgur then LJ scrapbook when I became okay-ish. But like you I'm super sad there we will be so many great icons we won't be able to see anymore. :(

It's so good to see you're still around, I just heard that you even made some icons a few weeks ago so I'm very much looking forward to checking that post! :)

Too bad that you lost those icons, even if they weren't great it's still a part of your iconing history so I always want to save everything. I use an external hard drive, so they're not tied to a specific computer, but I wasn't super organized in the beginning of my iconing career so I'm not sure where some of them are, and unfortunately the host I used at first (imageshack) stopped working at some point.

But yeah that is the worst. Old tutorials and old icon posts by awesome makers. I'd love to be able to browse old posts at 20insp for example, but so many broken links :/ I can't imagine this bs move being beneficial to PB in any way.

Thanks!! ♥ I'm trying to find time to make icons, but RL is so busy! I'm going to try and enter monthlyinspo this time, the inspiration post is so pretty!

I found a Google Doc I made back in 2014 that has pretty much all my old icons copy-pasted on it! So Idk how I could download and reupload them from there, but at least there's a trace of them somewhere :D

I'd love to be able to browse old posts at 20insp for example, but so many broken links :/
Same, it's sad. I don't think it's the case for insp20 because the mods always reuploaded everything and I'm super greatful to them for that.

Yesss please enter monthlyinspo, the insp post is amazing indeed and I'm 90% sure I'll be able to enter this time too. I think I'll only focus on one or two of the themes to try and make it a cohesive set, and I'll also try to make a post that won't be expected of me, but not sure of the details yet :)

Wait so you have a google doc where you've put the links to your uploaded icons, or the actual images pasted onto the document...? If it's the former you could use a tool like downthemall, if it's the latter I'm not sure if there's an easier way to download them than to just copy them one by one to photoshop and saving the files there.

Oh I didn't realize that about insp20in20, that's awesome!
I'm working on it.nightbulbs on September 4th, 2017 07:29 pm (UTC)
Aah, it would be awesome if you entered too! I want to give every theme a try, but maybe not in equal amounts, Idk. I'm going to start with making a list of things I want to icon and icon ideas, and then find caps.

No, it's just the images. I think I'll copy paste small blocks of them in new LJ entries and save them back to my harddrive from there. It's going to be a loooong and tedious process, but it's doable. And then I'll see if people are interested in me posting an "old icons archive" at my comm.

Wow, I love that our processes are so similar. This is how I start too usually. I mean sometimes I just see a pretty cap or a random texture and start from there but I gotta say all my better sets and icons start with a plan and I love to see that I'm not the only one who does this :D I already listed a few fandoms I want to use and I'll probably randomize the rest cause I really like that element of surprise.

An old icons archive would definitely interest people! I mean I remember always liking your icons, but I don't remember your older individual icons very well, so it would be great to see them again.

Is the icon you're using made by you btw? It's gorgeous, I love the painting. I see you're looking forward to the new Doctor already!

Same :) And obviously your "spontaneous" icons are awesome as well, but I'm always in awe of the ones your obviously planned carefully, there have so much detail and storytelling behind them!
And I feel the same way about my own sets, the 20muses one I did last year took a lot of preparation but it was probably my most consistent one ever.

I wrote down 20 icon ideas that fit the themes, now I need to "sketch" them and go cap-hunting. It's definitely going to be multi-fandom and there won't be the same amount of icons per theme, but it should be fun to make. :)

I'll probably randomize the rest cause I really like that element of surprise.
I can't wait to see what you come up with! :)

I don't remember your older individual icons very well, so it would be great to see them again.
I know, I saw some old icons again and it was hilarious, I can't remember what the hell I was thinking when I made some of them, but some actually aren't bad!

Yes, I made it! And thanks :) It was the first icon I'd made in months tbh! And yeah, I was pretty excited because I really like Whittaker. But Capaldi being my absolute fave, I'm going to have a hard time letting him go, lol.

Thank you! <3 Wow you already wrote down all the ideas?! That's awesome. I just picked fandoms so I'm way behind there, I should probably plan everything today but first I gotta make an icon dump to get the backlog out of the way so that the actual entry won't be cluttered :p

Oh yeah I remember that 20muses entry, it was fantastic and I could totally see the thought work that went into it! And I'd guess your amazing winning t-r set was planned as well? For me, the difference between a fully planned vs fully improvised is pretty clear in my monthlyinspo entires. The one I made for the 'blue' round, I think it was the first round?, was planned, while all the rest have been mostly improvised.

I know, I saw some old icons again and it was hilarious, I can't remember what the hell I was thinking when I made some of them, but some actually aren't bad!
Yeah this is exactly how it went for me too! Some of them made me lol irl. Especially the ones with complex compositions. I mean, can you believe I was already a 20insp member when I made this???

But then some others were really nice that I didn't even remember at first. I had forgotten that I used to make some good close cropped icons and some crops that weren't center crops, a skill I just don't have anymore.

Aw I hear you on Capaldi, he's been great. Let me guess that you probably won't have a hard time letting Moffat go, though? I'm very excited to see what the plots will be like with a new showrunner.
I'm working on it.: Tennightbulbs on September 5th, 2017 11:42 am (UTC)
Yeah, it sort of all came to me last night, haha.

Looking forward to the icon dump! And I just took a look at your icon posts and wow, so many good icons I missed!

My first 20insp set was So Bad, I'm ashamed of it. I didn't make a single 20insp set that was good though, I think the comm stressed me out because I worked so hard to get in and then I could never make my best icons for it...

I feel like I lost my cropping skills somewhere along the way. Now neg space and centre crops are all I know how to make. I should challenge myself to make a set based on cropping or something.

Ha, I don't even know anymore! I actually liked what Moffat did with S10, and Chibnall didn't write the best DW episodes, so I'm a bit scared. But maybe he'll actually be great as the showrunner, we'll see. Moffat himself sort of admitted he'd done everything he could think of, so it's a good thing he's going.

My first 20insp set was So Bad, I'm ashamed of it. I didn't make a single 20insp set that was good though

LIES. NOT TRUE. I remember an OUAT set that I could have sworn was for 20insp and it was so creative and amazing in every way. But I hear you on the stress, I tried waaayyy too hard on my first two sets and they were just... so crappy. I mean I wasn't a great maker at the time anyway but those sets were even worse than my general level back then, ugh. But I gotta say I also made some of my best sets for that comm - the Les Miserables set for the text round, the Donna Noble set for the regular 20in20 round, the super weird OUAT set for what I think might have been the same round that you also made an awesome OUAT set?, and whatever that one round was where I made a Supernatural set - those are still some of my best sets which is kinda sad considering they're all pretty old. I was just so inspired by the super high level there. I don't think there's any way to repeat that same creative atmosphere anywhere anymore and I always think I should have participated more often than I did (the same goes for some other comms like theiconquest!).

Ok, that's intriguing, I gotta catch up on s10 soon! It's just hard to know where to start cause I kinda remember some of s9 but maybe I should rewatch all of it first...
I'm working on it.: Reginanightbulbs on September 7th, 2017 08:31 am (UTC)
Ah, you mean the "Wonderland" set? Yeah, that one wasn't bad, or at least it was the start of my "experimental" phase, which led to some much better icons later :D And your set for that round was all kinds of amazing, so so creative! And batty did one as well, which was also awesome. Overall it was such a cool round, everyone pushed themselves and there was such a creative atmosphere around the community! /nostalgia

the Les Miserables set for the text round, the Donna Noble set for the regular 20in20 round, the super weird OUAT set
I remember all of these! Your Donna one was excellent and the Les Miserables one had some of the best colouring and compositions (and text work) ever. I wasn't even in the fandom and I was in love with those icons!

Idk, maybe I enjoyed S10 because it was low-key and focused on the characters, so it reminded me a bit of RTD era. I could focus on Capaldi and the sidekicks were pretty great! Also Missy :) But perhaps I had low expectations as well. I hope you won't be disappointed!
a random javascript function: peter levelsjsfunction on September 7th, 2017 01:19 pm (UTC)
Yes the wonderland set, that's the one I was thinking of! It was so cool and experimental. That round in general was awesome. I wasn't a member yet during the initial 'down the rabbit hole' round, which also had some really stellar sets, so it was great to get to do that challenge at least.

Sounds good, I'll make room for it in my watching schedule! I've only heard positive things of the new companion (Billie or something?) so I'm excited to see her as well, and Missy is always awesome ofc.

I finished all the link replacing yesterday, I only meant to replace links at froonium_icons but then I had nothing better to do so I decided to also replace the older links in this journal. Going through them all was so nostalgic. I mean at first I was laughing at these icons cause they are truly terrible, but then I got kinda sad when I realized how much fun I had making all those sets and how excited I was to participate and just how amazing those days were in general. I opened a few of my old PSDs and wow there are some WEIRD decisions for blend modes, textures, coloring styles and everything xD But the thing is, I still remember what I was thinking and what inspired those icons, and in the beginning they were 100% just about appreciating the fandom, so even though they look like crap I kinda love them in a weird way, so yeah I'm happy that I got them back up and found all the missing ones too :)

Exactly! I was in awe of the sets made for the initial round and I remember feeling so happy that they were revisiting it and that I'd get to have a go at it.

Her name is Bill, and I really liked her. Pearl Mackie was really good. :)

I admire your patience re: replacing all the links. Thanks for doing it, I'm sure a lot of us like taking a trip down Nostalgia Lane every once in a while and looking back on older icons. So I'm browsing through some of your posts and I remember a lot of those icons :D Also it's amazing how much you grew in terms of technique but some icons were already "your style" like this one for example.

Sadly I won't be able to do the same things because the entries that have the broken PB links in them were made with my old account, which has been purged for years. *facepalm* So I'm going to save all the icons from the Google Doc and post that icon archive in several parts. I think my very first icon batch is lost forever though, because for some reason it's not on the Google Doc. It feels weird because I remember some of those icons really well! I feel bad that I had this 'breakdown' once and wanted to delete my LJ and deleted all my icons and PS resources from my harddrive. It feels so stupid and emo now, haha.

(And now I was actually going through my harddrive to see if maybe they're hidden somewhere and I found those praise .zips raiindust posted that have so many 2013 icons in them, by many awesome makers who disappeared at some point. Nostalgiaaaaa.)

Haha nooo you looked at that terrible first 20insp post I made. I know you said that your first one was bad but I dare you to find an icon from it that is worse than this 'painty' monstrosity :p
The one you linked was hands down the best from that set and I was surprised to see that the beginnings of my ~style were already there. In fact, I looked at my very first 20in20 set, back from when I had been iconing only for a few months, and even there the category set had one of the styles I use a lot even now - the monochrome subjects with differently colored backgrounds. (But otherwise, just OUCH.)

Oh no I didn't realize you had completely deleted that previous journal, I thought you just renamed - that does make it harder to replace old stuff :/ but the archive sounds fantastic, although it would be a ton of work too.

I feel bad that I had this 'breakdown' once and wanted to delete my LJ and deleted all my icons and PS resources from my harddrive. It feels so stupid and emo now, haha.
It's not stupid, I've had my icon-related frustrations too, I'm just too sentimental to ever even consider deleting anything, I know I'd miss the tiniest things as soons as they're lost. I really hope you didn't lose too many icons that way, or that there's a way to get them back. In any case I'm so glad you didn't completely leave!

Wow I remember those awesome praise zips. I don't have the 2013 one but I have a similar one from 2012 and it was such a thrill to see how many she included from me even though I knew I wasn't on the same level as many of the others that were included. You're in that zip too, I didn't remember any of those icons but now that I see them again they're actually fantastic.

I don't think that set was bad! It already showcased how good you are at using different colours and making them work together (11), texture work (1) or composition (17). Perhaps they don't look amazing in retrospect but they were super promising! And you already knew how to do cut-outs, blending, blocking at all sorts of things that seemed impossible to me at the time :D

Ooh, I figured out how to download the "hidden" images from Photobucket without being logged in! It's going to take forever but I should be able to recover the super old batches!

Oh no I didn't realize you had completely deleted that previous journal, I thought you just renamed - that does make it harder to replace old stuff :/
Yeah, I wish I'd kept the account... Now I'm going to have all those PB banners lying around. I can delete the old entries, but that would mean losing the comments, or leave them there, because I can't edit them from another account apparently, even as a maintainer, so that kinda sucks!

Ooh, awesome! I don't know how she found anything of mine to like in that first year, but that's super flattering. You, obviously, already had a lot of super cool icons :) I miss Jess and her flawless taste!

Nooo c'mon those icons didn't belong in 20insp :p I mean it's super nice of you to still find positive things to say about that set, but I'll always be a bit embarrassed that I posted that crap to such a good quality comm x)

Ooh, I figured out how to download the "hidden" images from Photobucket without being logged in!
Awesome! I'm pretty sure there used to be a way to download entire folders there - I hope that's still possible!

Yeah I hear you on not wanting to lose the comments - that's why I left everything up after imageshack stopped working. I did hide most of the entries as 'private' so that nobody else would see the broken links, but you probably can't change those settings either from the other account.

Wait, 2012 was your first year? As in the year you actually started iconing?? I can't believe that, those icons in that folder are WAY too good to be first year icons :O seriously WOW if that is the case, that's some crazy fast progress.

Eh, I was already fangirling over your icons at the time ;) Even though by today's standards most of our 2012 icons probably weren't that elite. I got into elite comms way too fast, the icons I was making at the time definitely aren't elite by my current standards! (Which is weird because on some other level I think the average/overall level of the community might be higher now? In terms of image quality maybe, not creativity. Idek.) The end of the year was pretty great though, I think you were my secret santa at some comm and you made me some super pretty Rose Tyler and Ten icons IIRC :D

I'm pretty sure there used to be a way to download entire folders there - I hope that's still possible!
You used to be able to download whole albums but it's not letting me do it anymore, even with the new account I created... So it's going to be one at a time. I think I'm going to re-dl the older batches that were on imgur as well, just in case they pull shit off as well at some point.

I started in September or October 2011, something like that. So I made a couple of very basic first pages, and then in 2012 I really started reading tuts, I got PS, etc. It was exciting :D

Oh well, taste develops alongside with skills, so it doesn't surprise me that we both liked each others icons even when they weren't all that great... :D

on some other level I think the average/overall level of the community might be higher now? In terms of image quality maybe, not creativity. Idek.
I think you're onto something here. The few makers that are still there, most of them have been here for a long time so the average skill level in terms of technical quality is higher than ever. But I also think that since we have fewer makers, there are fewer distinct styles left, and the higher quality level creates pressure for everyone to reach that bar every time we icon and compete with the other very technically skilled makers, so this might push us more towards perfecting quality and using styles we know will 'work', rather than taking a lot of risks. But, I don't wanna be all 'in my youth everything was better' either - I see way more obvious filler icons in old batches than I see now. Now icons are more individual, nobody uses the same psd to create 60 similar icons :p, and more effort goes into each piece so there have been positive developments too.

Omg so you were the person I made those secret santa icons for! I'm so glad you liked them at the time, I've always hated request and gift iconing cause it's soooo much pressure to please a specific person but I was so into DW back then that I had to participate. The comm was elitetardis btw. It's weird to think that fandomspecific elite comms were a thing.

Wow, you started almost a year after me. Which is weird cause I remember us progressing pretty much at the same time. But in actual iconing time you were waaayy faster than me :D I do wish I had started reading good tutorials earlier, I always read them but the ones I found at icon_tutorial were obviously not the best influences on my style or skills unless the goal was to emulate all the worst dated trends :p

You're absolutely right. I would icon and post more often if I felt like I could be lazy and make super simple/repetitive icons. Because now even simple-looking icons take me way more time because I'll tweak the colouring and lighting until I'm satisfied, etc. And I also kinda want each post to be better than the last on some level, so that means a lot of what I make goes unposted, whereas before I would post even the worst icons, or a hundred variations of the same icon because that's what pretty much everyone was doing so I thought it would make me look cool :P

Ooh, thanks for the name of the comm, I couldn't remember it! And apparently there were no Ten icons, I hallucinated those, but I remembered the superb lighting pretty well. I loved elitetardis, I got an invite and was sooooo happy, and the mods were great.

It's weird to think that fandomspecific elite comms were a thing.
I know! But I miss them because I could enter one or two icons per week, and there was that competitive element that really motivated me. I always made my best icons for battles, mmc activities or anything where I didn't want to look bad next to other makers, basically. *facepalm*

My 2012 self thought you were light years ahead of me. :) I mean you still are, but back then you could do all sorts of technical things I had no idea how to do! And you progressed super fast from mid-2012 to 2013 when you really became awesome. And I was still very, very meh. 2014 was probably my year in terms of progress/experimentation, and in 2015 I finally started making icons I liked. Since then there have been like two posts, so... Aw now I'm just sad to hear that you don't feel like you can post all your icons anymore :/ I mean I 100% understand it and for me it's always been like that, ever since I started participating in challenges I've pretty much had a 'no fillers' policy, but that's just my perfectionism and it's a real drag to have so I definitely wouldn't wish it on anyone else.

But yeah I totally agree that some level of pressure is good, the 'I don't want to look bad next to these makers' thing has always motivated me and especially during my fastest progress times, but there should never be so much pressure that you feel like you can't post the majority of the icons you make, those icons would make your watchers (including me) waaayyy happier than not seeing anything and some might even consider them your best work! Now whether you want that reaction or not, I don't know - I'd actually fear that if I posted a lot of not very high effort icons, they'd be my most popular icons which would honestly make me feel like what's the point of putting all this effort if the effortless ones are better. I know you get this cause you've had some bestof_icons winners you weren't too happy with - it's that kind of thing that I fear more than a negative reaction towards those icons. But that's silly and I should get over it :p

My 2012 self thought you were light years ahead of me. :) I mean you still are, but back then you could do all sorts of technical things I had no idea how to do!
Ok first of all that middle part is CRAZY cause you know you're up there on the highest level possible with only a few other makers. Literally nobody's better than that, and I'd put myself more like on a 'love or hate' level with some others that not everyone gets, but your icons, I honestly think everyone loves them and for a reason ♥ But to the main point - yeah I did blocking and blending and all sorts of complex stuff back in 2012 but was that a wise decision...? xD It's way better to first learn the basic techniques and then optionally practise complex stuff. I just never had the patience for that, I jumped right into the hardest techniques and of course they turned out very hit and miss :D
It's interesting that you think your major progress was as late as 2014 cause I think that might be when you became super awesome but you were definitely already a great maker way before that!
I'm working on it.nightbulbs on September 9th, 2017 06:31 pm (UTC)
Oh, I don't have that many "rejects" honestly, and in the past few months I mostly have not iconned at all because of RL and a lack of interest in fandom (and my eyes being tired all the time so it was better that I avoided cap-hunting and iconning). But yeah, at some point I did make some icons and I didn't post any of them because they were simple or I was worried people would think they were ugly... Eh, I should remember that it's a hobby, right?

I'd actually fear that if I posted a lot of not very high effort icons, they'd be my most popular icons which would honestly make me feel like what's the point of putting all this effort if the effortless ones are better. I know you get this cause you've had some bestof_icons winners you weren't too happy with - it's that kind of thing that I fear more than a negative reaction towards those icons.
This, too! Because it always makes me feel bad and "why do I bother?". And in a more "artsy" kind of way, the more complex, concept icons I post are when I "put myself out there" and if people don't like them or prefer the simple ones, it'll make me feel a bit sad. So posting mostly complex icons, I know that people will have to like some of them, or else they just won't like the post at all but in that case there's nothing I can do about it, you know?

Ok first of all that middle part is CRAZY cause you know you're up there on the highest level possible with only a few other makers. I'm weeping, you're way too kind. ♥
But nah. I think a few people really like me, but most people still think of me as hit and miss. Whenever someone at a_i will ask who the best makers are, people will list you, starkwars, naginis, longerthanwedo and dixon. And I'm not at that level yet. BUT at least I know what my style is now, and it took me years to figure it out, so there's that. :)

It's way better to first learn the basic techniques and then optionally practise complex stuff.
I was obsessed with learning how to make a clean, HQ icon before I moved on to anything else, haha. And tbh I'm glad, because I would have produced a lot of very bad icons otherwise. I think my old stuff is more boring than downright ugly and that's kind of a relief? But on the downside it took me a ridiculously long time to learn how to do anything :P

Oh ok I might have gotten the wrong impression about the amount of rejects you have :D I'm glad to hear it's not that bad, and I reaaally look forward to seeing your next post - how is it progressing? I have about half ot them done. A lot of different things require my attention this month (looking for a job for one!) so I didn't go with a super elaborate style this time, but it's still gonna have a few things I really enjoy doing.

So posting mostly complex icons, I know that people will have to like some of them, or else they just won't like the post at all but in that case there's nothing I can do about it, you know?
LOL yep you totally described how I feel! I mean I get that it's kinda petty and not super mature, but I can't really help feeling like that so I'm glad to hear I'm not alone there :DD

DUDE seriously, a-i is not the best source here, lol, people answer those questions with the makers that happen to pop into their minds at the moment and usually that means makers who have been active in the past few months. I think you've sort of slipped under the radar because of inactivity, but hopefully that will be fixed soon :D When it comes to actual competition, let's take the turbo_rumble round cause it's fairly recent, you beat many of the makers you just listed fair and square so idk how you can claim not to be on that level yet. I'm glad you've found your style though, especially since it's a style I very much love so yay to more of that! ♥

So I had a PB account but switched to imgur probably in 2013/2014 or something like that. I relogged into PB to see my icons are still there, and they are pretty much not the greatest icons, so I am just going to leave them there and not fix any links (cause on my old posts I can still see them there or something). I don't know why PB is going backwards but I wish you luck for re-saving your old icons to be backed up. I am pretty much upset because some old texture guides (or other guides) can't even be viewed cause of the big banner PB created and for some reason PB hates the fact that I have an ad blocker so even if I try to look at the old images I can't see them.

Yep, moving to imgur was definitely a good choice! So you can still see your old icons too, it's weird how they've disappeared from some PB users but not all :O I assume they're going to disappear from everyone sooner or later so better do the replacing now. Some of these older icons I'm reuploading are totally hideous so it's not like anyone would miss them, I just want to give people the chance to browse back in my icon comm and see everything still in place, those big ugly PB banners annoy me so much xD

Yeah this is so awful :/ there's a lot of amazing iconing history lost because of this dumb move by Photobucket.

This is such a mess. :(((

I'm happy to hear you're reuploading and updating your links! <3

I had planned to make a backup of the huge tutorial link post a few weeks before PB went crazy, but I couldn't get it to work. I have a spider program, but it just didn't want to slow down, so I didn't dare actually run it on the whole thing for fear of getting my ip blocked from LJ.

And now I am mad at myself for not getting it to work in time.

I'm probably gonna sacrifice my old tutorial step illustrations because those tuts are old, nobody is going to read them anymore.

In my opinion, the old tutorials are the greatest loss. I don't really mind not seeing five-year-old icon posts anymore, but tutorials? Those are always going to be helpful, no matter how old. *sigh*

Yeah tutorials are a huge loss but personally I'll miss old icon posts more. Tutorials are just something that the maker is giving others as an extra, of course they offer more personal benefit to the viewers, but if I really love that maker their body of work is a thousand times more important to me than any extra help they gave out to others. Besides those icon posts (especially the ones I saw when I had just found out about the larger icon circles) are part of my icon memories and as an extra nostalgic person, I just hate to lose those :/ I'd like to think that maybe my work is to someone else what those other makers were to me, even if it's doubtful that many other people are this crazy nostalgic about icons :p
That doesn't mean ofc that I don't also miss the tutorials because yeah some of those were amazing. Mine not so much, they won't be a big loss cause the same stuff was in every single one so if you've read one you've read them all.
